1
INITIAL CONSULTATION
Whether you are looking to remodel or expand your existing home, or build new, we make it easy to get started. Simply give us a call or send us an email to begin the design process. During our initial conversation, we will listen to your vision for the project, understand your budget and timeline, and evaluate the best solution for you. We will then schedule an in-person consultation at the project site to discuss details including budget, design requirements, and your vision for the final product.
2
SCHEMATIC DESIGN
After the initial consultation and approval of our design contract, we move to the design phase. The first phase of the design process is Schematic Design, where we work through the overall concept and form of your project. During this phase, our team will create basic layouts, interior and exterior elevations, and 3D renderings to explore design options and refine the initial concept. We will work closely with you to ensure that we fully understand your vision and design requirements. By the end of the Schematic Design phase, we will have a clear understanding of the project scope, spatial relationships, and overall design concept. This will serve as the foundation for the next phase of the design process, Design Development.
3
DESIGN DEVELOPMENT
After completing the Schematic Design phase, we move on to the next stage of the design process, Design Development. During this phase, we add in the finer design elements such as cabinetry details, trim styles, and finishing materials. Our team will also refine the project's more nuanced details such as utility spaces, areas to run HVAC ducts and other mechanicals, and take into consideration any major structural elements to ensure that they are integrated seamlessly into the design. By the end of this phase, we will have a fully developed design, including detailed plans, elevations, and 3D renderings. This will provide the foundation for the final stage of the design process, Construction Documents.
4
CONSTRUCTION DOCUMENTS
The final stage of the design process is the Construction Document phase, which involves creating the build plans that will be used for construction and submitted with the project's permit. During this phase, our team will create a detailed set of plans, including floor plans, elevations, sections, and framing plans / details outlining the scope of work, materials to be used, and any other pertinent details. These plans will be used during construction to ensure that the project is built to your specifications and meets all applicable building codes and regulations. Our team will work closely with you to review and finalize the Construction Documents, making any necessary revisions to ensure that they accurately reflect your vision for the project. By the end of this phase, you will have a comprehensive set of plans and specifications to guide the construction process.
